Because He Lives

Eagle Watch Ministries utilizes volunteers and donations to provide aid and emergency needs during times of crisis. Unfortunately, the logistics of moving aid workers and relief items can be challenging. Some of the challenges during an emergency are the lack of basic needs, electricity and compromised roads and transportation assets. Of course, monetary donations are needed to help us sustain our ministry. Other items, such as in kind donations are also appreciated as well. While we can not list all our needs, any resources that may be used in a catastrophe situation are welcome.

Some of these items are:

  • Water
  • Water Containers (food grade only)
  • Freeze Dried Foods or ready to eat meals such as MRE's
  • Basic Medical Supplies, bandages, splints, gauze, trauma bandages, etc....
  • Blankets
  • Tarps
  • Tents
  • Other items that are larger; but from time to time we do find resources such as other ministries, governmental agencies that are releasing surplus equipment or corporations that are replacing equipment and are looking for a tax exempt charity to donate to. These items include:
    • Generators
    • Utility Trailers
    • Utility Vehicles, (pickup, 4WD, heavy duty vehicles)
    • Surplus Ambulance/Rescue Truck (not for transporting patients)
    • ATV's , Quads,
    • Notebooks/Laptops
    • Business two way radios FMRS/GMRS
    • Handheld GPS
    • Chain saws

Another area that we found that has been a fantastic resource is amateur radio. We have found that in some operations, amateur radio or "Ham" radio is the only way we have to communicate. Since this is a specialized/licensed field, I would have one of our communication experts discuss needs.

One of the areas we are looking to expand is our storage resources. We are currently looking for a staging area/warehouse/storage building. Since wrapping up our Haiti operation, we have moved out of our warehouse that was so kindly donated to us. Due to the nature of our ministry, we must maintain a staging area for our generators, trailers, tents and other items. Due to limited shelf life, we typically do not store large amounts of food supplies. We are located in North Georgia / Metro Atlanta Area.

During some of our deployments, we have found that there are aviation and ground transportation assets available on an "as needed" basis. If there are any such assets, we would like to place you on our "as needed" list of resources.
